Gioele Scibilia is the fastest on MiniEnduro European CuP Day1 race in Aviano

Aviano, Italy, first round of MiniEnduro European Cup 2024. The first day of competition has just ended among the smiling faces of our little champions who completed a race that was certainly not easy. In fact, on this last Saturday of May, the weather affected the terrain with rain and sun that affected the area in the morning. The Cross Test was most affected by the rain and became quite slippery in the first part of the race. Fortunately it was only a temporary rain which did not alter the race plan.

This morning’s start took place in the center of the town of Aviano, a center which last night served as the stage for the parade and presentation ceremony of the teams and riders at the start. A motorcade procession left last night around 6pm from the race paddock and reached the main square escorted by the reigning European champion Maurizio Micheluz. The roar of the engines echoed along the streets of Aviano in a riot of colors that united everyone under a single flag, that of Europe. Nation by nation the riders then took to the stage, thus giving the official start to the event.As we were saying, the start of this day1 took place in the main square of the Italian city. Once off the stage, the competitors traveled a short loop to the Enduro Test, a special stage characterized by stony terrain and lasting approximately six minutes. Ten minutes after the Enduro Test, the competitors faced the Cross Test, located in a beautiful meadow which, despite the difficult conditions caused by the rain, entertained the competing riders.Both tests were run four times. At the end of the fourth lap the riders carried out assistance and returned the motorbikes to parc fermé, located in the Paddock for this evening.

Italian Gioele Scibilia climbed to the top step of the Overall podium, winning by just 10 seconds over Frenchman Emerick Vergote at the end of the day. In third position was another French representative, Ewen Forestier-Chiron, who finished his race 45 seconds from first place. The three riders are also the protagonists of the 125 Mini standing; in fact, the three of them were the best of the day here in Aviano.

In the 50 Mini, victory for Davide Cabass, followed by Nicolò Mancinelli, just 12 seconds behind him. All-Italian podium in the Junior with Cristian Marioli winning ahead of Evan Moschetti and Duccio Giraldi. The reigning champion Charlene Boudon was fast and unmissable; the young Frenchwoman wins the Women 125 Mini class with a gap of over 3 minutes. In second position we find compatriot Jean Santine while Polish Maja Kozlowska climbs to third place. The Italian flag also flies high in the Women thanks to Anika Dal Pezzo who wins the class, Michelle Sinigaglia second and Desiree Carollo, third.
