The first day of the second round of 24mx MiniEnduro European Cup concluded in Monteils

Monteils, 13 July 2024 – The first day of the second round of 24mx MiniEnduro European Cup in Monteils ended successfully, which saw over 70 riders at the start for this exciting second race of the season. The event was characterized by excellent organization managed by the Motoclub Les 2 Vallées, which guaranteed a day of competition full of sport and adrenaline.

The start took place at 9am, with the riders tackling a total of 4 laps. Each lap included two special tests, designed to test the participants’ technical skills.

The first special to be run was the Cross Test, developed over 1.5 km. The riders started on a grass field, facing a fast and linear section. As we approached the finish line, the course became more technical, featuring single tracks with rocks that put the participants’ technical skills to the test.

This was followed by the Enduro Test, a special which saw the riders initially test themselves in a long, fast stretch on a grass field. At the halfway point, the riders tackled a technical single track inside a forest, a segment of approximately 2 minutes that required great concentration and skill. The special then ended with a further fast stretch on a grass field, before crossing the finish line.

In the 125 Mini class, the Frenchman Emerick Vergote took victory on this first day, distancing the Italian Gioele Scibilia by 21 seconds. Completing the podium, in third position, was another Frenchman, Ewen Forestier-Chiron, who finished the race just 11 seconds behind Scibilia.

Anika Dal Pezzo

All-Italian challenge in the 50 Mini class with riders Davide Cabass and Nicolò Mancinelli fighting for victory throughout the day. Cabass took the first step of the podium, followed by Mancinelli a minute behind.

An Italian story also regarding the Junior class. The first two positions in this category were driven by Cristian Marioli and Evan Moschetti who fought for the final victory until the last special test. Marioli was the first to stop the clock and took home the victory by less than two seconds over Moschetti. Duccio Giraldi closed the podium.

In the Women 125 Mini category, France dominated the scene. Jean Satine took victory on this first day, overtaking championship leader Charlene Boudon, who finished in second place. Pauline Nicon took third place.

Third consecutive victory for the young Lady Anika Dal Pezzo, who set the best time in the Women Junior. The Italian took the victory ahead of Desirée Carollo and Sofia Chermaz, second and third respectively.

The president of the French Federation Sébastien Poirier did not want to miss this appointment, being present all day here in Monteils to support these champions of the future.

A beautiful day of Enduro in the “Mini” version which entertained both the riders and the enthusiasts who attended the event. An excellent opportunity to meet with fellow enduro riders from all over Europe and excellently organized by the Motoclub Les 2 Vallées.

The second day of the French round promises to be equally exciting, with the riders ready to give their all to win precious points in this European competition. There will be three laps to complete, with the Cross Test which on the last lap will be repeated for a fourth time before returning the motorbikes to parc fermé.
