Airoh Minienduro European Trophy first edition begins! For the very first time, Minienduro becomes international. The inaugural edition of this trophy also marks the beginning of Minienduro competitions in the international arena, allowing young riders to face their colleagues belonging to other nations. Italy, more specifically the town of Grigno,  will have the burden and honour of hosting the Airoh Minienduro European Trophy on June 24th and 25th. It will be two days entirely dedicated to enduro and the knowledge of new realities thanks to sport, which again becomes a vehicle of values that go far beyond competition. It will be Airoh the Title sponsor of this edition. Airoh is a prestigious Italian brand, which for years has been a symbol of excellence and it dresses the best off-road riders. Airoh’s presence in this Trophy emphasises how the brand wants to support the off-road’s future as well as its present. Along with Borilli, Eleveit, Fajon, Motocross Marketing, MXLine, Progrip, Trafileria Mauri, Twin Air and 24MX, Airoh has decided to join Maxim for the promotion of this new and unprecedented trophy.

Two special tests, to be repeated 4 or 5 times each, will build the ranking of the day first and of the Trophy then. The first special test takes place inside a river bed so stones will be the masters while the second special test has found hospitality inside an ancient quarry. A path also in this case technical but at the same time smooth and suitable for the level of the registered riders. To ensure the smooth running of the event and above the safety of the participants, alternative routes have been prepared, so that everyone can ride the entire track without problems. Just like in the Enduro Championships the riders face a transfer of 15 km structured all within roads closed to traffic and carefully supervised by Marshall.

The protagonists of this first edition will be the young riders between the ages of 12 and 16, which will be divided into four classes:

  1. JUNIOR (12-14 years) Capacity 85 cc Wheels: ANT max 19” / POST max 16”
  2. 50 Mini (13-15 years) Capacity 50 cc 2t Wheels: ANT 21” / POST min 18” ·
  3. 125 MINI (14-16 years) Capacity 125 cc 2t e 4t Wheels: ANT 21” / POST min 18”
  4. WOMAN (12-16 years)

Airoh Minienduro European Trophy’s paddock will open on Thursday 22nd June and for this year it will do so only once; for its inaugural season it will take place on a single stage but thanks the excellent response, with almost 100 members belonging to over 10 European nations, what this year is only a Trophy, in 2024 could become a real championship structured on several stages. Let’s stay focussed on the current edition: the first appointment on the agenda for this weekend will be the nations presentation parade; on Friday 23rd at 17:30, the riders and their teams will parade, divided by nations, inside the paddock to start the 2023 Airoh Minienduro European Trophy. At the end of the parade, the motoclub organiser, the Civezzano, will offer to those present a welcome drink with typical local products. On Saturday and Sunday morning it will then be time to take the bikes from the closed park and kick off the two days of the race.

The start of the race, for both days, is scheduled for 9.00 am, at the end of which the riders will bring the bikes back to the park fermè before the usual prize giving, which will take place on both days. On Sunday evening, after the race’s prize giving, the FIM Europe medals will be given to the best  three riders of each class.

This is not only an opportunity to meet your own competitors from other nations but it will also be a way to get to know similar but at the same time different cultures from your own. It won’t be only a sporting exchange but also a cultural one that will enrich everyone.
